The practical phase of
the course consists of 6 days of leadership training most often done over two 3

| During these weekends the course focuses on: | |
| Understanding the Patrol Method | |
| Learning Leadership Skills | |
| Discussing Scouting Issues | |
| Reviewing how to teach Scouting skills to the youth. | |
| Writing a "ticket". Your ticket is a contract you make with yourself regarding your continued involvement in Scouting. |

Following these three weekends, the Application Phase of the course begins.
During this time, you "work your ticket".
[You apply the skills you have learned during the Practical Phase to your Scouting job.]
